They may even damage the internal movement while attempting to change your watch battery. After years of every-day wear the outside of your watch becomes dirty with the build-up of perspiration, lotions, perfumes, and other stuff I won’t mention. Not only the outside of the watch but the inside also can become dirty.

The Quartz Watch Tune-Up

The only solution for this is to disassemble the watch (band, case, and internal movement). The band if leather will need to be replaced with a new leather band. The case and band (metal) will be placed into an Ultrasonic Cleaner for a period of four to six hours. Every one to two hours they’re removed, hand scrubbed, and steamed with a Steam Cleaner. While the case and band are cleaning, the quartz movement and dial are inspected and given a light cleaning to remove any dirt particles.

When every component is clean the watch is reassembled, new spring bars and new gaskets are installed. Replacing the gaskets will restore the water resistance of the watch. The buckle clasp is adjusted and a Lifetime Warranty Battery is installed. If the battery should ever go out it will be replaced free of charge.
